The new gargoyles

In the cathedral over the bank holiday weekend were six designs competing against each other to be the ones who would be created to become the new additions to the north east corner. The new gargoyles will be replacing two that the rain and wind have worn away over the hundreds of years they have been there. Sunday 24th May is Pentecost, when the Church celebrates and thanks God for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Dean John in training for 10th Anniversary Beer Festival

BBC Radio 3 Choral Evensong from Ripon Cathedral

Ripon Cathedral will reach an international congregation on Wednesday 21st January when BBC Radio 3’s Choral Evensong is broadcast live at 3.30pm.
